I’m ambivalent about this dish. It is one of those foods that makes one think beer was invented to drink with. Love the taste but eating an entire serving makes my stomach complain a bit.
The dish is served on a hot metal plate, hence the ‘sizzling’. It usually comes with a metal serving spoon that has been in contact with the metal plate long enough to make it too hot to handle.
