Curious what kind of guesthouse lodging one can get for 800 THB ($ ~25) in Hua Hin?
A three or four story walk up. Restaurant / bar on the first floor. Aree’s House is the green one. It’s located on the northern edge of the tourist district.
Queen bed, some decoration, windows that open. That’s important as it’s windy almost every day here.
Ikea furniture, TV with satellite or cable, DVD and a mini fridge out of frame to the left.
Sitdown toilet (in the room, not down the hall), on demand hot water, no hot water in the sink, shower gets everything wet. Room enough to move around.
View toward the ocean. The taller buildings are guesthouses and hotels.
View away from the ocean. Except for some massage places, most of the businesses serve the locals, not the tourists.
