Adapted to the Climate

Hopped on the scooter at 9am to pick up laundry. The ride over was chilly, less so coming back. Dropped the load and headed for breakfast. The wind chill wasn’t worth putting on a long sleeve shirt for because the ride is only about 8 minutes long. The restaurant is wider than it is deep, with one entire side open to the soi (side street). The sun hadn’t hit the soi yet, but without the artificial wind of the scooter the morning temp was pleasant, though several degrees below anything resembling warm. A couple soon appeared and sat next to me. The first thing they did was turn on the oscillating fan above the table. No idea what the temp was this morning but whether it was felt as hot or cold depended on where one had spent the last several months.
