Downburst Approaching

While stopped at a traffic light the wind shifted, increased and the temperature dropped. Been here long enough to know the downburst winds meant big rain soon. But it was sunny. The light changed, so did my plans. I headed for Khao Hin Lek Fai, the mountaintop lookout behind town.

The storm cell was expanding rapidly to the south, coming right at me. Snapped a few shots, double plastic bagged the camera, threw it in the backpack and wondered if I’d get home before the rain. Beat it by 2 minutes.
