Intentionally Getting Caught in the Rain

It felt like rain soon. Stepping outside revealed it was raining about 10 kilometers to the south. Oh good. Grabbed a baggie for phone and earbuds, left the poncho (as if I knew where it was), and went out to get drenched on a motorbike ride.

Why? Short of running the AC for a few hours, or visiting the Starbucks in the tourist district it’s the only way to get cold. Gloriously cold. The hottest part of the year is ending, my need for relief hasn’t dissipated.

[Update 8hrs later]Damn spell checker. First word in title was supposed to be ‘Intentionally’, not ‘Internationally’

  1. Go west, young man. Uh, about 11,000 miles west, plus another 8,000 feet straight up. Here to Cuenca. It’s sunny and coooool!

    • Such a climate appeals greatly, as does traveling to the Americas by going the long way, west from Thailand. But 8k altitude? I’m gonna have to get a bigger pair of lungs, or a least get some conditioning first.
